About the Guild
The purpose of The Potters’ Guild of Frederick is to conduct an organization of ceramic artists for the promotion of high standards in both expressive and functional ceramic art, to exchange ideas, to stimulate community interest in the ceramic arts and to hold periodic ceramic exhibitions and sales.

The Guild is actively involved in the ceramic arts community, supporting area studios, clay education, demonstrations, and galleries. We enjoy making friends with other potters, and sharing ideas and techniques. Our community outreach includes education, fundraising, donations, and demonstrations.
We usually meet on the first Monday of the month, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. You're welcome to come. At each meeting, we have something fun, like demos, tool-making, movies, etc.

Some of us sell our pottery in the Gallery Store. We don't have a studio at the Gallery; some of us have our own studios, others work within a school. The Guild offers a 3-hour Take a Turn at the Wheel class on the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 6 to 9 pm. To sign up, click here. For a list of all pottery classes in the area, click here.
