Joanne Rome began her journey into the world of ceramics with a two week “pottery bootcamp” at VisArts in Rockville, MD.  After two weeks, she was hooked. She works mainly on the wheel in both porcelain and stoneware. While most of her work is fired in her electric kiln, she also creates wood-fired work and raku.
